Tom Hiddleston made a guest appearance on the WandaVision Virtual Launch Event to confront Vision actor Paul Bettany for stealing his trademark trick.
Actor Tom Hiddleston, who plays Loki in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, called out Vision Actor Paul Bettany for utilizing one of his trademark tricks in the new Disney+ series, WandaVision.
While answering fan questions during the WandaVision Virtual Launch Event, Hiddleston made a surprise guest appearance to pose a question regarding Vision’s sudden return to the MCU following his death in 2018’s Avengers: Infinity War. “When we last saw Vision in Infinity war, he was no longer living, but now he’s alive” Hiddleston said, “I was just wondering, don’t you think that’s more of a Loki thing, my kind of thing?”

Bettany laughed at the question and played along with the joke by responding back, “It’s true, I’m totally stealing your thunder, Tom, I’m so sorry about that.”
Loki was originally thought to have met his demise in the climax of 2011’s Thor after falling into a deep abyss in outer space. The God of Mischief was revealed to have survived and later returned as the lead villain in 2012’s The Avengers before once again ‘dying’ in battling alongside his brother in 2013’s Thor: The Dark World. It was only a ruse, however, and Loki returned in 2017’s Thor: Ragnarok, only to die by the hand of Thanos in the opening moments of 2018’s Avengers: Infinity War.
Following the time traveling events of 2019’s Avengers: Endgame, a past version of Loki is shown to begin a new adventure in an alternate timeline, with the character’s sprawling legacy continuing on in the upcoming Disney+ series, Loki.
It’s not yet known how Vision has returned from death in Marvel Studios’ new reality-bending series, WandaVision, but Bettany recently promised that, “All of these things are going to be explained.”
Written by Jac Schaeffer and directed by Matt Shakman, WandaVision stars Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch, Paul Bettany as Vision, Randall Park as Agent Jimmy Woo, Kat Dennings as Darcy Lewis, Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau and Kathryn Hahn as Agnes. New episodes air Fridays on Disney+.
