“We’ve decided to move forward and find a way for people to still have their Fourth of July,” said Nabeha Zegar in the village’s public information office. Orland Park announced the decision Tuesday as part of an abbreviated village summer calendar. The display at 9:30 p.m. July 4 will still be in Centennial Park, which is very spread out, Zegar said, with parking in several different lots. The show, put on by Melrose Pyrotechnics of Kingsbury, Ind., and weather permitting, should also be visible miles away. Residents can also watch by YouTube livestream on the village’s channel.
